Carrie and Madison

This weekend I discovered that I love shooting with a breeze more than anything. I love how it gives the photos movement!

Carrie is such a great model. Maddy didn't want anything at all to do with me. Next time I'm going to bribe her with goodies..haha I had a great time with them and I think the photos turned out great.

I need to learn how to make the photos larger on blogger. If anyone knows, let me know! :)

Kacey 2011

What a great Saturday! I was able to take Kacey and try out my new lens. I'm in love with the lens btw. Kacey was so sweet and had a lot of fun. I rewarded her with ice cream and then got the great idea of doing photos with the cone. Those are my favorites of the bunch.

Friday Fun

I had a good time with my kids Friday evening. We went to the park and I snapped a few photos of them being goofy.

Fix it Friday

It's Friday again and there was a sweet "fix-it" at I Heart Faces today. Here's my version of the photo. On this one I thought less would be better. I just cropped, used a PW warmer and a PW lovely.

Beauty

Everyone has a different version of what they consider beautiful. This is one of my versions.

I know she came from my body. I birthed her, but I still don't see how. She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Three Best Friends

This past weekend I was able to take my sons two best friends out and do photos with the three of them. It was more like they did what they wanted and I followed along with the camera! :) My son changed to a different school this year so they don't get to see each other as much and missed one another. It was sweet. It was fun.

Happy Valentines Day

My little girl is wearing a "Red" dress shirt that she wore to school today. She wanted to wear it because red was the color of love.

Calendar Photos

I had so much fun doing photos this week. Since Valentines is just around the corner I have had a lot of boudoir photos to do. I especially had a blast with this session because she had so many ideas on what she wanted. We spent three half days taking photos and I love the end results.

Here are a few.

She had a perfect rocker shirt and covered a lot but still showed enough to look sexy.

This one she is actually in a dress. She looks like she belongs on a beach somewhere!

I am absolutely in love with the purple layer on this photo. I love the way her skin glows in this.

These last two are two of my favorites. I love the loose braids with the feathers on the floor (which btw isn't a real floor, it's seamless paper that I LOVE).

These are just a few of the almost 100 photos I edited. That's normally WAY over what I do but this was a three day session! I can't wait to see the calendar she makes!

New

Happy Saturday! I'm in a very good mood as of late. Yesterday I got a new Nikon 3100 camera and PSE editing system. I bought new backgrounds AND even ordered business cards. Looks like I'm an actual business now. I love doing it.

In addition my daughter let me quickly take a few photos of her while she played outside so I could test my new and improved camera!

Snow Days

I really want to take some photos this week but I can't get out of my driveway! It's solid ice outside...on top of that ice there's snow. I would even like to take the kids outside and get some pretty snow shots but alas, I can't....cause there's wind....considered blizzard wind it's windy, about 35 mph. I don't consider that blizzard). And it's not supposed to get over 20 degrees for the next three days.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love winter. I LOVE snow. I just hate ice and being stuck in the house with three kids that would much rather be outside playing in said snow then sitting at the window watching it blow around everywhere.

I'm hoping the wind calms down over night and I can get some good photos of the kids playing in the snow. Anymore when they hear the sound of my camera come on they all run away! Maybe the ice will slow them down! :0)
